Getting started with the Excel for Confluence

Take the very first steps to use Excel for Confluence.


Installing the app

You can install the Excel App from the Atlassian Marketplace by clicking the “Get it now” button on the top right corner of the page.

Using the app

Once the app is installed on your project, you can use it immediately.

Enter edit mode on a page, and type /excel or select it from the Insert menu to add the macro to your page.

In the dialog, you can upload an existing Excel file to serve as a template or skip it to start with a new file. You can enter a filename for your spreadsheet and click “Insert”.

By default, users with edit permission in Confluence can also edit attached files directly on the page. You can turn it off if you need to by selecting the option in the insert modal.

If you need to add more spreadsheets, you can add more macros.
