Folders and Attachments Automation

With Forge, attaching a folder to a project is now handled through Jira's native automation engine, giving you more flexibility and control right where your team already works.

A couple of things worth knowing before you start

  • Projects that already have automation set up will keep it under Space Settings, so nothing breaks. You can stop this automation and use the new one if you like.

  • New projects, or projects that never had automation configured, will need to set up Automation actions using the steps below.

 

How to set up automation

  1. Go to Space Settings > Automation and create a new rule based on your needs

  1. All available ikuTeam Files actions are listed under the Other apps section.

  1. Click Connect and select the remote directory or folder you want

  1. Once connected, use a smart value to set the folder name for each folder you want to create automatically.

  1. To upload files into a folder created earlier in the same flow, enable Use folder from previous action.

  1. Connect the newly created folder to the Jira work item using the “Connect Folder” action to be visible.
