What is the ikuTeam Files Rovo Assistant?

The ikuTeam Files Assistant (available for both Jira and Confluence) is a specialized AI extension designed to work alongside Atlassian Rovo. It bridges the gap between your Atlassian workspace and your external cloud storage, including SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, and Dropbox.

Instead of manually opening and reading through every attached or linked file, the assistant allows Atlassian Rovo to "read" and index the actual content of your documents. Built on Atlassian’s Forge platform, it ensures that your data processing remains secure and stays within the Atlassian ecosystem.

How to set up ikuTeam File Assistant?

To use Atlassian Rovo, you must be an Organization Admin, and your site must be on a Premium or Enterprise plan.

Prerequisites

  1. Enable Atlassian Rovo: Follow the official https://support.atlassian.com/rovo/docs/get-started-with-atlassian-rovo/ to enable the feature on your site.

  2. Locate Rovo Chat: Once enabled, you will see the Ask Rovo button next to the notification icon in your Jira or Confluence instance.

  3. Select the Agent: Open the Rovo Chat and switch to the ikuTeam Files Assistant agent to begin getting insights about the files added to your page or work item (previously called an issue).
