Adding a Google

document

sheet to your page

Adding a Google document sheet to your page is quite simple:

  • Copy the URL from the document spreadsheet on the Google Docs Sheets site;

  • On your Confluence page, enter edit mode;

  • Paste the URL

  • If you aren’t signed in yet, you’ll need to authenticate with your Google account to view the document sheet content;

  • [Optional] Select the macro and click the edit button to make adjustments (you can edit this later);

  • Publish the changes.

Tip

All done. You can now view and edit your document sheet on the Confluence page.


Authentication

All users must authenticate with a Google account to view and edit the document spreadsheet on Confluence.


Layout options

You can edit the layout options at any moment. Select the macro in the page’s edit mode and click the edit button to change the layout options.

You're in control of the preview layout of your documentspreadsheet:

  • Width: You can define the width of the document spreadsheet preview. The default is 100%.

  • Height: You can define the height of the document spreadsheet preview.

  • Hide preview on load: If enabled, the attachment spreadsheet loads when the page is open, but the preview is hidden. Users can click the chevron to open the preview.

  • Show toolbars: If enabled, editing toolbars are shown. Users can click the switch to hide the toolbars.

Removing a document

Layout options for publish mode:

  • Show headers: If enabled, column letters and line numbers are shown.

  • Show sheet tab: If enabled, the sheet tab is displayed.

  • Show interface: If enabled, the title and footer are displayed.


Removing a sheet from your page

To remove a document spreadsheet from a page:

  • Enter the page edit mode;

  • Select the macro of the document spreadsheet you want to delete;

  • Click the “Delete” button;

  • Publish the changes to the page.

Tip

All done. The document spreadsheet won’t show anymore in your page but it’s still safe in Google Drive and you can add it again later if you need.
