About editing files

You can edit, annotate, and sign PDF documents on pages without downloading to edit and re-uploading multiple copies or locking other people out while editing the document.

Editing a PDF document

You can edit PDF files attached to your pages by clicking the “Edit” button (also available in the full-screen preview).

A new tab opens, where the appropriate editor opens, and you can edit your document in a few seconds.

When editing a Microsoft Office document, spreadsheet, or presentation, PDF file, you and your team can work together, as the Microsoft 365 editor supports real-time collaboration, so there are no file lockdowns. There's also an autosave feature, so you can close the tab when you finish.

Open Office documents work the same way as Microsoft Office documents, using the Microsoft 365 editor, but do not support real-time collaboration.

Real-time collaboration

As mentioned before, PDF Documents support real-time collaboration, and it's effortless to use.

Start editing a document that is PDF file attached to a page. When another person clicks to edit the same documentfile, the editor seamlessly creates a collaboration session seamlessly. You can continue to edit the document file as before and leave it anytime by closing the browser tab.[SCREENSHOT]

To be able to edit attachments, please check if you have the correct permissions defined on Confluence. You’ll need to be able to edit the page.
