Learn how to preview files with Office Editor for Confluence.


About the preview

With the Office Editor app, you can preview attached files on pages. You can preview the most common Office document formats, including Open Office formats. You can also preview PDF files and images.


Preview Office on your pages

The Office Editor app lets you preview files attached to your Confluence pages.

Inline preview

By default, every attached file displays in a collapsed view to save screen space. You can expand each file by clicking the disclosure button (1) on the left to preview its content.

 

Full-screen preview

Click the name (2) or the “Preview” button (3) of the file you want to open the full-screen preview.

You can change the preview settings with the layout options.


Supported file formats for preview

  • Microsoft Office documents: DOC, DOCX, DOCM, XLS, XLSX, XLSM, XLSB, PPT, PPTX, PPTM, PPS, PPSX, PPSM

  • Microsoft Office templates: DOT, DOTX, DOTM, POT, POTX, and POTM

  • Open Office documents: ODT, ODS, and ODP

  • PDF files

  • Images: GIF, JPG, JPEG, and PNG
