Using the Team Spaces app for Confluence

About Spaces

Spaces are an integral part of Confluence, and they’re where all your pages live. The Team Spaces app lets you have an overview of all your content, making it easy to find what you’re looking for.

Browse Spaces and Pages

You’ll see all your spaces in the content area when you open the app.

You can click any space to view the pages it contains and click any page to view a preview and the subpages.

You can also navigate all your spaces and check their structure using the folder tree on the right side. It works the same way: click on any space to preview the content. You can also click the chevrons to reveal the content before navigating.

At any moment, you can use the back button to return to the previous view and check the breadcrumb to confirm your position in the folder structure.

Search Pages

You can search by title using the search box:

  • Click the search field;

  • Type in the name;

  • Press enter.

The search results show up in the content area, and you can click on any page to preview it.

Preview Pages

To preview a page:

  • Open a space from the root level to preview the cover page;

  • Click the card of a child page on the right side;

  • Click any page on the tree folder.

Pages options

When you preview a page, you’ll find additional options in the actions menu.

  • Edit: Confluence’s page editor is opened in a new tab.

  • Delete: immediately deletes the select page. You can restore deleted pages from Confluence Space Settings › Manage Content › Trash.

  • Open in Confluence: Opens the page in a new tab.

These options are also available on the page tree for the hovered page.

Organize pages

You can take advantage of the tree folder to organize your content:

  • Click the toggle to turn on the drag and drop of pages on the folder tree;

  • Drag any page on top of another page to make it a subpage. You can also drag it to the top of a page in a different space.

When you drag a page, the folder tree must reload to update.
